Fulbright Programs for U.S. Scholars offer U.S. faculty, administrators and professionals funding to lecture, do research or participate in seminars.

    Fulbright Programs that support the research and teaching of visiting (Non-U.S.) scholars and the institutions that host them.

  • Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program arranges for Visiting (Non-U.S.) Scholars to receive grants for advanced research and university lecturing in the United States.
  • Scholar in Residence Program brings Fulbright Visiting Scholars to teach on U.S. campuses for one or two academic terms - Deadline 10/14/2005
  • Occasional Lecturer Program arranges for Fulbright Visiting Scholars already in the U.S. to travel to campuses and local communities for short-term guest lectures.

  • Fulbright U.S. Student Program

    The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is designed to provide a varitey of levels of funding for recent B.S./B.A. graduates, master's and doctoral candidates, and young professionals and artists to study, conduct research, and to gain personal development and international experience in a wide variety of academic fields and countries around the world.

    Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship at the time of application (naturalized citizens eligible), a fully completed Bachelors degree before the beginning date of the grant or have extensive professional study and/or experience in the field(s) in which they wish to pursue a project. For non-English speaking areas, sufficient proficiency in the written and spoken language of the host country so as to be able to carry out the proposed study/research without linguistic handicaps. Preference will be given to applicants whose formal higher education was received primarily from institutions in the United States and to applicants who have not resided or studied in the anticipated host country for more than six months.

    Prospective Fulbright applicants should review a current issue of the booklet: Fulbright and Related Grants for Graduate Study and Research Abroad available in the University's Center for International Studies. This booklet outlines the application procedure, provides information on participating countries by region, as well as additional important pre-application details. Applications forms are also available at the Center.

    Students applying as part of the University of Delaware should submit completed applications to the Center for International Studies by October 1 at 5:00 pm. Please submit the application in person so that you may schedule an interview at the same time. NOTE: This deadline for the Student Program is set by the University and differs from the deadline published by the Fulbright office. Applicants applying through the University must adhere to the University's deadline date.
