The Center for International Studies (CFIS) has awarded International Travel Awards to 9 faculty members to support their attendance at international conferences. All awards were in the amount of $500. The awardees and their destinations included:

- TOTH, Tibor (Political Science/Graduate Studies): Cyprus
- WHITSON, James (Education): Finland
- VOGEL, Irene (Linguistics): Hungary
- TREMBANIS, Arthur (Geology): United Kingdom
- DONALDSON-EVANS, Mary (English): United Kingdom
- NELSON, Robert (HRIM): China (Hong Kong)
- SANKARA, Edgard (FLLT): Ghana
The next cycle will take place in May, 2006. The deadline for application submission will be posted later in the semester. 22 awards will be available.
