Return to Checklist: Winter / Summer
Making flight arrangements:

You'll work together with your program coordinator to arrange a group flight reservation to/from the U.S. The process involves a few steps, outlined below:

  1. You complete the on-line travel preferences form. Bids may be solicited to specific agencies at the request of the faculty director. Directors should supply complete contact information of the travel agencies in the "comments" section of the travel preferences form.

  2. Our office faxes you a copy of your request for final okay (to make sure everything is correct and complete). Thanks for initialing and returning it as requested.

  3. UD's Office of Procurement Services sends the bid request to several travel agencies, giving them 2-3 weeks to respond.

  4. Your program coordinator emails you the itineraries and prices as soon as they're returned, giving you a few days to pick the best option.

  5. UD pays the agency a deposit to hold the seats, but we have until 3-4 months before your departure date to confirm our purchase of the seats.
