On the trip we had incredible guides with whom we became good friends. On countless occasions our trucks would get stuck in black cotton soil and all the males would work together to free the trucks.

This photo was taken at the Tumalong Haven NGO. The children here have no parents, as they have died of AIDS illnesses. Here Alex is offering some comfort and a quiet place to rest for one of the little girls. Though the kids speak no English, we found that hugs easily crossed language barriers.

This photo is significant because these are the girls that I spent the most time with and helped me to learn all about the "Bajan" culture. It is titled "Reicprocity" because the time we spent together allowed both cultures to learn so much from each other.
