Winter 2003
Adirondacks, USA
Dates TBA

Program Overview

If you’re interested in learning backcountry travel and winter camping skills, come to the Adirondack Mountains this Winter Session.

Outdoor Adventure Leadership provides students the opportunity to learn techniques and leadership concepts for the outdoors. You’ll get first-hand experience with snow-shoeing, emergency shelter construction, cooking and navigation during a week-long expedition to the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. The trip will be scheduled for the fourth week of Winter Session.

Preparation for the trip will include on-campus lectures and discussions about decision-making, self-reliance, group dynamics, and skills needed for safe winter camping and backcountry travel.

Please note:The program fee covers equipment rental, housing, on-trail food and transportation.
