Study Abroad - Programs
Winter 2003
Argentina
January 4, 2003 - February 5, 2003

Program Overview

Participants on the Buenos Aires program will be able to experience the rich and varied culture of the cosmopolitan Argentine capital--home to the tango and internationally-acclaimed writer Jorge Luis Borges. Buenos Aires is packed with interesting places and diverse neighborhoods to visit, and boasts many beautiful parks and lively "confiterías," or cafés. Since January is summertime in the southern hemisphere, students will be able to enjoy favorite vacation spots of the Argentines.

Weekend excursions are planned to the magnificent Iguazu Falls on Argentina's northern border with Brazil and to a beach resort such as Punta del Este in Uruguay. There will also be visits to an estancia, (cattle ranch) and a tango show.

The Universidad de Palermo will host the program. Students reside either singly or in pairs in private Argentinian homes.
