Study Abroad - Programs
Summer 2003
London ENGL
June 6, 2003 - July 6, 2003

Program Overview

If you're interested in British culture - from historical sites like Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London, to the contemporary theater of London's West End - you'll enjoy exploring one of the world's most cosmopolitan and diverse cities for credit. The drama course takes advantage of London's rich theatrical world, and in addition to seeing a many plays, you'll have the chance to talk about performance and production issues with British actors, directors and critics. The seminar offers you the opportunity to experience British culture and institutions by seeing them for yourself; you'll tour such places as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Kew Gardens, Parliament, Canterbury and Stratford-upon-Avon. And because you'll be living in London, you'll be able to tour additional sites of interest and see more plays on your own. The goal is to learn to understand and love theater while we become increasingly aware of the life and history of one of the greatest cities in the world.
